Vigrahpal I

His accession marks the visibility of a collateral branch descended from the founder’s family.

Vigrahpal I is associated with the line of Jayapal, a relative of the early imperial house. Later inscriptions trace this branch to explain the claims of Narayanpal and his successors.

The overlap between his reign and those of Shurapal I and Gopal II is not resolved uniformly in historical literature. Dates shown on the site are therefore indicative, not an exact regnal calendar.

His importance lies largely in royal genealogy: political legitimacy was repeatedly narrated through ancestry and grants.
